Wet dust collector is commonly known as ‘water dust collector’, it is to make the dusty gas and liquid (generally water) in close contact, the use of water droplets and particles of inertial collision or the use of water and dust to fully mix the role of the role and other effects of the particles or particles or make the particles increase in size or stay in a fixed container to achieve the effect of the separation of water and dust device.
The wet dust collector produced by ‘is a combination of the two forms of water bath and spray into one. Firstly, the suction force of the high pressure centrifugal fan is used to press the dusty gas into a water bath containing a high degree of water, which will adsorb part of the dust in the water. After evenly distributed diversion, the gas moves from bottom to bottom, while the high-pressure nozzle sprays water mist from top to bottom, trapping the remaining part of the dust particles. Its filtration efficiency can reach more than 85%.
The wet dust collector can remove liquid or solid particles with a diameter of 0.1-20 microns from the air flow, and at the same time, it can also remove some gaseous pollutants. It has the advantages of simple structure, small footprint, easy operation and maintenance, and purification, and is capable of handling high temperature and high humidity airflow. However, special attention should be paid to the corrosion of equipment and pipelines and the treatment of sewage and sludge when using wet dust collector. The wet dust removal process is also unfavourable to the recovery of by-products. If the plant is installed indoors, the possibility of freezing of the plant in winter is also considered. Furthermore, if the removal of fine particles is to be efficient, the liquid phase needs to be well dispersed, but energy consumption increases.
This dust collector has a service life of 5 to 8 years for dusts with a particle size of less than 5 μm. The dust collector is compact, occupies little space and consumes little water, with a floor space of about 4 square metres and a water consumption of about 1 tonne/hour for handling 5-7 cubic metres of dusty airflow per second.'
Characteristics
Disadvantages
The manufacturing cost of wet dust collector is relatively low. But for chemical, paint, glaze, pigment and other industries generated with water. Because not only can remove dust, but also use water to remove part of the odour, if it is a sexual gas (such as a small amount of sulphur dioxide, hydrochloric acid mist, etc.), it can be absorbed by formulating absorbent in the washing liquid.
Disadvantages:
(1) from the wet dust collector discharged slurry to be treated, otherwise it will cause secondary pollution;
(2) When purified with aggressive gases, the chemical aggressiveness is transferred to the water, so the sewage system has to be protected with materials;
(3) It is not suitable for hydrophobic soot; for sticky soot easily make the pipes, blades, etc. to be blocked;|
(4) Compared with the dry type dust collector need to consume water, and processing difficulties, in the cold region should be used to prevent freezing measures.
There are many forms of wet dust collector used in engineering. Overall can be divided into low energy and two categories. Low energy wet dust collector pressure loss of 0.2-1.5kPa, including spray towers and cyclone scrubber, etc., in general operating conditions of water consumption (liquid gas ratio) of 0.5-3.0 litres per cubic metre, the purification efficiency of more than 10 microns particles can reach 90% -, Dongguan Tianming Dongguan Tianming engineering once on the use of this feature of the wet dust collector in 2009 to obtain the new and old customers love, the purification rate of up to. Wet dust collector pressure loss of 2.5-9.0kPa, purification efficiency can reach more than, such as venturi scrubber. The performance and operating range of the main wet dust collector are summarised in the table below. We will confine ourselves to the three types of wet dust collectors that are more widely used, i.e., spray tower scrubbers, cyclone scrubbers and venturi scrubbers.
